FinanceControl (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the FinanceControl web application and related services (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we process and why.

By creating an account or using the Service, you acknowledge this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Account information: name or display name, email address, and authentication credentials you provide during sign-up or profile updates.

Financial inputs you enter: amounts, categories, goals, calculator parameters, and other content you choose to store in the product.

Usage and device data: pages viewed, feature interactions, approximate location derived from IP, browser type, and diagnostic logs needed to keep the Service reliable and secure.

Communications: messages you send through the contact form or support channels, including metadata such as timestamps.

Provide and improve core features such as dashboards, calculators, reports, and the AI assistant interface.

Authenticate users, protect accounts, detect abuse, and maintain platform security.

Respond to support requests and send transactional messages (for example, security or account notices).

Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal information.

Where data-protection laws require a legal basis, we rely on: performance of a contract (providing the Service you request); legitimate interests (securing and improving the product); consent (where we ask for it); and legal compliance.

We may share data with infrastructure and service providers that process information on our behalf (for example hosting, email delivery, analytics, or API gateways), under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.

We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of users and the Service.

In a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction, with notice where required.

We retain account and product data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service.

After account deletion or inactivity periods, we delete or anonymize personal data within a reasonable timeframe, except where we must retain records for legal, security, or accounting reasons.

We use industry-standard measures appropriate to the risk, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls, and monitoring of our API gateway and application layers.

No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. Please use a strong unique password and protect your devices.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete personal data, and to object to certain processing.

To exercise these rights, contact us via the Contact page or email contact@financecontrol.net. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

If you believe we have not handled a request appropriately, you may have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

We use essential cookies and local storage for authentication sessions, preferences (such as theme), and security. These are required to operate the Service.

We use Google Tag Manager (GTM) and Google Analytics 4 to measure product usage (for example page views and feature funnels). We implement Google Consent Mode v2 so tags honour your choice for analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data, and ad_personalization.

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, those measurement cookies default to off until you accept via the on-site banner (or remain off if you reject). In other regions, including India, they default to on so we can measure the product; you can still reject them with the banner. Your choice is stored locally in your browser (fc_gtm_analytics_consent).

You can change your mind with “Manage cookie preferences” below, by clearing site data for financecontrol.net, or by adjusting browser cookie settings.

The Service is not directed to children under 16 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us so we can delete it.

We may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide additional notice as appropriate.
